FICTION WRITER AND PLAYWRIGHT

J. PRESTON WITT

J. Preston Witt is a fiction writer, playwright, and script consultant. He studied literature and creative writing at the University of Michigan (BA 2010) and at The Ohio State University (MFA 2014), where he served as co-editor of The Journal. He has been awarded fellowships by The Fine Arts Work Center (Provincetown, MA), the Luminarts Cultural Foundation (Chicago, IL), and the Tulsa Artist Fellowship. Winner of the Able Muse Write Prize for short fiction, he has recently published in Ninth Letter, The New Guard, Able Muse, and elsewhere. He has taught as an adjunct writing instructor since 2011 at various institutions, including The Ohio State University, Romanian-American University in Bucharest, and Medgar Evers College (City University of New York). He is currently working on a novel.
