LIZ BLOOD

Liz Blood is a writer and editor whose work focuses on place, memory, and contemporary art. Her journalism and essays have appeared in HuffPost, Sierra magazine, Oklahoma Today, AWP Writer’s Chronicle, Cimarron Review, Hunger Mountain, and elsewhere. She is an adjunct faculty member at The Red Earth MFA in Creative Writing program at Oklahoma City University, contributing editor at Awst Press, and contributing editor at Oklahoma Today magazine. She also hosts Seven Minutes in Heaven, a quarterly Tulsa-based reading series of short fiction and nonfiction, and edits Ekphrasis, a poetry and visual art column featuring work from Oklahomans, published quarterly at Art Focus Oklahoma. Blood holds an MFA in creative writing from Vermont College of Fine Arts and a BA in English from Westminster College. She is currently at work on a book-length essay. She is a 2019/2020 Tulsa Artist Fellow.
