Tulsa Artist Fellowship welcomes our neighbors for a night of art and camaraderie on First Friday, September 1!

Flash Flood Print Studio's Printer Jam Showcase
exhibition will be on view at Archer Studios this year. The range of programming includes workshops, a zine library, print vendors, and plenty of opportunities to hang out with your favorite printmakers. Through printmaking, ten artists across the nation, Alex Anthes, Bayliegh Fields, Yiren Hou Gallagher, Michelle Martin, Mary Gordon McFall, Kathleen Neeley, Ting Wang-Hedges, Jesse Warne, Shannon Wheeler, and Benjamin Wills, demonstrate the sundry techniques and experimental approaches of transferring images. This exhibition is guest curated by Susan Green, Philbrook Museum of Art in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Additional activity includes open studios of Tulsa Artist Fellowship awardees. Join Tri-City Collective for a conversation centered on non-violent, radical love inspired by Clara Luper's impactful work in desegregating Oklahoma. Curated by Jazzy Bivar-Tobie, this oratorical presentation, drawn from Luper's book "Behold the Walls," marks the 65th anniversary of the Oklahoma Sit-Ins.

Center for Queer Prairie Studies delves into the regional and national histories of 2SLGBTQ+ protest and activism through works in puppetry, photography, text, and design by awardees J. Preston Witt and Karl Jones

Studio 101 returns with SHARED featuring Black Moon Collective curated by awardee Francheska Alcántara and SOIL Afro-Futuristic Dance Party powered by the funkadelic sound experience from Gary Mason, organized by The Underground Collective, from 8-10 pm.

Meet acclaimed graphic novelist Melanie Gillman as they showcase work and engage with fellow comic artist and awardee Carl Antonowicz. Melanie will lead a Nature Drawing Hike Workshop on Saturday from 10 am-1 pm at Oxley Nature Center. Registration is available here. Remember to bring your drawing supplies, a hat, comfortable clothes, and a thirst for learning!

On view through September 10, Add Space is a project created to bring artworks to public spaces traditionally used for advertising in Tulsa, OK. The eighth iteration of Add Space curated by Justin Ortiz features work by artists Sasha Gordon, Lynda SmithSchick, and Torbjørn Rødland on billboard spaces throughout downtown Tulsa.

Our friends at Heirloom Rustic Ales will pour refreshing brews at all Tulsa Artist Fellowship locations.
