ARAB FILM FEST TULSA 2025
Friday, November 14 - Sunday, November 16, 2025
Arab Film Fest Tulsa returns for its fifth year, presenting acclaimed films and documentaries from the Southwest Asia and North Africa (SWANA) region. The festival invites audiences into the richness and diversity of contemporary Arab world life and intersecting nationalities — from humor and family to revolution and resilience.
This year’s lineup features a Palestinian dark comedy, a Tunisian family drama, documentaries from Sudan and Lebanon, and an Iranian classic, alongside catered receptions and live talks.
Organized by Moheb Soliman, multidisciplinary artist, Tulsa Artist Fellowship alum, and Executive Editor at Mizna. Community partners include the OSU Iranian & Persian Gulf Studies Program and the Khan Ohana Foundation.
Hosted at Circle Cinema and supported in part by Tulsa Artist Fellowship, Arab Film Fest Tulsa welcomes all audiences to engage with stories that expand understanding and celebrate creative expression.

Soliman was awarded the multi-year Tulsa Artist Fellowship and BIPOC-centric fellowship with Milkweed Editions. He was also part of the Milkweed editorial team, guiding diverse poetry, fiction, and creative non-fiction manuscripts through the publication process to books.
Moheb Soliman attended Eugene Lang at the New School for Social Research and the Ontario Institute of Studies in Education at the University of Toronto. His debut poetry book HOMES was published by Coffee House Press.
ABOUT MIZNA
Since 1999, Mizna has advanced experimental approaches to art, literature, and film—supporting work that questions and expands the forms and conceptual frameworks of Arab and SWANA culture. The organization publishes a biannual print literary and art journal, Mizna, along with Mizna Online, a digital platform for literary and multidisciplinary work that critically reflects on contemporary realities across the SWANA region and its diaspora. Mizna produces the Twin Cities Arab Film Festival, the largest and longest-running SWANA-centered film festival in the Midwest, and presents a range of readings, film series, performances, public art commissions, and community events that have featured more than a thousand local and international writers, filmmakers, and artists.
