TULSA ARTIST FELLOWSHIP

30 artists in residence
Free public programs year-round
Cross-disciplinary artistic practices
Deep engagement with Tulsa communities

As a diasporic Cherokee writer, the opportunity to move to Tulsa and reshape my writing practice around the lands that raised my family and ancestors is a gift beyond my imagining. The Tulsa Artist Fellowship allows me to return to my homelands to create and write while also being engaged in the vibrant and growing arts community in the city of Tulsa.

WHAT YOUR SUPPORT MAKES POSSIBLE

Support from individuals and partners helps sustain an ecosystem where artists and communities grow alongside one another.

Your support helps make room for:

  • long-term artist residencies rooted in Tulsa

  • exhibitions, performances, and literary readings

  • public programs that are free and open to all

  • collaborations across Tulsa communities

  • new artistic work, research, and experimentation

ARTISTS AND PLACE

Tulsa Artist Fellowship supports artists whose work unfolds in dialogue with the places and communities around them.

Through long-term residencies, artists have the time and space to research, create, and build meaningful relationships across Tulsa. Their work engages the city in many ways—from exhibitions and performances to neighborhood collaborations, literary readings, and public gatherings.

This sustained presence allows artists to contribute to Tulsa’s cultural life while exploring new ideas shaped by the histories, landscapes, and communities of this place.
