FIRST FRIDAYS: MARCH 2026

FIRST FRIDAYS: MARCH 2026

Join us in welcoming the 2026 Tulsa Artist Fellowship awardees—bringing our community to a full cohort of 30 artists.

Explore artworks in progress, exhibitions, workshops, live music, and food throughout our studios, roof terrace, and galleries. Free and open to all—come celebrate with us.

At the studios, Tulsa Art Fellowship and The Hullet Collection present Futuro Imperfecto, a show of recent works by Miguel Braceli. For more than a decade, Braceli has created performances, installations, photography, and video works that respond to the polarized and often disorienting political climates of both his native Venezuela and the United States. In collaborative performances such as Área (2014), seventy participants gather in Caracas’ Plaza de Caracas to outline an “area” with a long textile band—moving from positions of opposition into a single line, transforming a site of governmental tension into one of collective cohesion. More recent works expand Braceli’s geographic and material scope. Geopolitical Games (2020) reflects on the absurdity of horse-race politics in an era of rising authoritarianism, featuring citizens and non-citizens playing an imaginary game with red and blue balls. The game concludes in deflation of both the balls themselves and the nationalist gamesmanship they represent. With poetic precision, Braceli’s work gives form to the intangible forces shaping our own “imperfect future.”

At Flagship, Le’Andra LeSeur’s Monument Eternal presents a rigorous and affecting examination of monuments built to uphold racist legacies and their lasting impact on the psychological and emotional landscapes of Black communities. Through video, sculpture, photography, and sound, LeSeur constructs an embodied archive—one that centers presence in dialogue with histories of erasure and absence.

Throughout the evening, visitors are invited to move through Tulsa Artist Fellow studios, meet artists, and learn about their processes firsthand. Beverages will be provided by Heirloom Rustic Ales, with live mixes by DJ Xavier.
