FRIDAY, MAY 2, 2025 | 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Tulsa Artist Fellowship - Studios
109 MLK Jr. Blvd E. Tulsa, OK 74103

Tulsa Artist Fellowship - Flagship

FREE AND OPEN TO ALL

Tulsa Artist Fellowship welcomes our neighbors and friends to celebrate the May 2025 First Friday open studios, exhibitions, performances, and programs! Que Gusto is thoughtfully preparing the menu alongside beverages from Heirloom Rustic Ales.

Don't miss your final chance to experience Sacred Signs at Flagship. This exhibition presents video works by composer and sound artist Micaela Tobin, known for pushing the boundaries of convention with her soprano voice, focusing on experimental and contemporary opera and noise, alongside multidisciplinary artist and activist Alicia Smith, who employs ancestral prayer technologies, oral traditions, and indigenous futurism to challenge colonial narratives and delve into identity.

At the awardee studios, Melissa Lukenbaugh kicks off UPSTREAM in collaboration with Tulsa Historical Society & Museum and Tulsa Artist Fellowship. Tulsans are invited to contribute to the audio archives of Arkansas River storytelling. Did you catch a paddlefish? Was your experience at the Great Raft Race a triumph or a disaster? Have you discovered a peaceful spot by the riverbank? Come to express your love and questions about our cherished river. We aim to learn, nurture, and envision a stronger connection and responsibility toward our water. Join us in gathering a local story in the process.

Pop in during First Friday Open Studios or sign up here to secure your time. All ages and groups are welcome!

ABOUT FIRST FRIDAYS

Since its inaugural program year in 2016, the Tulsa Artist Fellowship has hosted First Fridays, a free monthly series that highlights our awardees, alum-in-residence, and Tulsa community members. First Fridays features artistic workspaces, exhibitions, workshops, performances, and food across our studios, roof terrace, and gallery spaces. As always, First Fridays are free and open to all. Come for the art, stay for the community.
