FIRST FRIDAYS: SEPTEMBER 2025
Friday, September 5, 2025 | 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Tulsa Artist Fellowship - Studios
109 MLK Jr. Blvd E. Tulsa, OK 74103
FREE AND OPEN TO ALL
Join us for an evening of open studios, exhibitions, performances, and community as we come together to experience the vibrant creative spirit of Tulsa’s Arts District.
Tulsa Artist Fellowship is proud to partner with the Cherokee Art Market for the second installment of our special First Fridays series. Meet and collect works from some of this year’s most talented artists, and enjoy an evening that celebrates Native creativity, culture, and community.
This month, we’re honored to spotlight Marvin Gabaldon, Jamie Bennett, and Crystal Hanna—with the chance to try your hand at textile embellishment in a hands-on introduction to Native art traditions. Don’t miss the milestone 20th anniversary of the Cherokee Art Market, happening October 11–12, 2025. Learn more and subscribe to their newsletter at cherokeeartmarket.com.
At the studios, experience Rehab El Sadek: Re:Collection, a striking new sculpture series that preserves personal and collective memory. Drawing on the ancient Egyptian practices of her ancestors, El Sadek wraps her sculptural forms in gauze and natural pigments, safeguarding both the object and the story. This tapestry of memory honors landscapes and experiences that shaped her journey before and after immigrating to the United States.
Upstairs, the celebration continues with a soundscape by DJ NONAME, works-in-progress from Tulsa Artist Fellows, late-summer bites by Que Gusto, and refreshing pours from our friends at Heirloom Rustic Ales.
We look forward to welcoming you.
